I went for a cut and blow in February 2012 nice staff very friendly cup of coffee as soon as I arrived. I had Jade would recommend her great cut and style I was very pleased will go again. they will be moving to new premises in the next few weeks.
the booking and service was all quite simple and routine however wasn't given the choice of a more senior stylist the voucher said could have a treatment to the value of 53.00 but the stylist that i was given was only 37.00 !!!!
Really nice salon with really friendly staff from the reception staff to the stylist. I have already booked to go back. The haircut was very good value for money and the stylist styled my hair nicely. The voucher was a bit misleading as it stated that the treatment was meant to last 1 1/2- 2 hours and was worth £52 based on having highlights. However, the treatment lasted about an hour and wouldn't have cost £52 as it was just a haircut (so not sure why the voucher referred to highlights). I am not sure if this is Wahanda's fault/the salons but a haircut in the centre of Leeds for £15 is brilliant and I would certainly recommend it.
Was made to feel welcome straight away with a comfy sofa and drink....... lovely cosey atmosphere and after the initial consultation I had a wash condition and lovely scalp massage, my stylist listened and styled my hair just the way I wanted .....recommended salon , lovely.
I went between Christmas and New Year so it was very quiet and the staff weren't rushed off their feet so hard to judge it in some ways, but nothing to complain about. They were very accommodating on the phone when arranging an appointment, even when i needed to change it, it was no bother. And there was none of the voucher snobbery/limited time slots nonsense a lot of salons restrict you with. Ambiance was nice and relaxed but trendy. I had scrapped my unwashed hair into a ponytail that morning but I didn't feel intimidated by the setting or staff. In fact they were very friendly (especially the girl who washed my hair) but also took the hint if you'd rather read a magazine while having your hair cut. I got a really great cut - that is still working for me some weeks later - at a great price. I was offered a hot drink, a head massage and encouraged to pop in for free fringe trims. Can't ask for more really. Oh and the stylist - Jodie - when finishing up asked if I usually used straightners, I don't, and it's refreshing to be given the choice! Too many flat-iron happy stylists out there sometimes! Great little salon in a cool old building behind the corn exchange, will be going back.
