The first issue I experienced was that I booked for 11am on Saturday via the treatwell site and was immediately called to ask if I could come on Thursday or Friday. As I work during the week that wasn't possible and in the end they were able to fit me in at 10:15 on Saturday. The next day I got a call asking if I could move to 12:30 - which was fine. Then I got an email from Treatwell with the original times, so I had to call the salon to confirm it was still 12:30. I don't know if the issue was with Treatwell or the salon, but it didn't instil confidence.
When I got there it was very friendly and I had plenty of time to get advice on the cut and colour. I was disappointed, having paid £131, that only one highlight colour was included and if I wanted a base colour I would have to pay an additional £70. I chose not to do this as I didn't feel it was anywhere near value for money.
In the end I was encouraged to pick quite a boring colour that basically just covered some grey. The end result is nice enough, just not very exciting.
I had a considerable amount of hair cut (from waist length to shoulder length) and I am very happy with the cut.
Overall the quality of what was provided was good. However, I don't believe the salon offers good value for money and using Treatwell in this instance has been disappointing as I didn't get what I thought I was paying for. I have checked again and I can't find anything on the Treatwell site that indicates that the highlights are limited to one colour. I ended up feeling a bit ripped off.
