The whole experience was lovely. From the concierge staff in the lobby, to the massage therapist herself, I was constantly treated with respect, attentiveness, and patience. I never once felt rushed or ignored, or that anyone was too invasive, either.
The waiting area itself was lovely, with ample comfortable seating, chilled drinks, and an easy & comprehensive pre-treatment form to fill in.
I was given good time to fill things out and settle in before heading to my treatment room: which - again - had a fantastic ambiance. Low lighting, clean yet cozy decor, and just the right temperature in the room.
The massage itself was fantastic! The therapist took note of all my preferences and concerns and delivered exactly the experience I was hoping for. Muscles that I hadn't even realised were too tight suddenly felt relaxed and comfortable.
The relaxation room at the end was lovely as well: more drinks, BBC radio 3, and a bowl of fruit. And the REN products in all the loos smelled divine. I'll certainly be coming back again the next time I want to treat myself!
There is no spa at this hotel. Just a couple of hotel rooms with the bed removed. Massage was mediocre and I was put into a room with my husband when I'd specifically asked for separate treatments. Very disappointing for the price and our 10th anniversary treat.
The hotel experience was great. The staff were very welcoming, and room was nice. They don't have a full spa facility (no pool, no sauna, no steam room etc).
Treatment room was cold and although the massage was good at the time, I had the worst cramp in my neck that night which continued until the next day.
We had dinner at One Eleven (American diner)...food was average. Breakfast in the Brassiere was nice. Would I stay again? Maybe...I'd think twice about booking a treatment though.
The massage was lovely. I would have preferred a towel over me instead of a fleece throw, as it was itchy. The masseuse was really friendly and professional - overall experience was great.
