The hotel is truly wonderful and a pleasure to stay at, I have stayed there before and would stay again and again. This was the first time I used the "spa" facilities and found it very lacking and would not book again based upon my recent visit.
There was a pop-up banner on the third floor to indicate they do offer spa treatments, but it isn't clear that is the designated waiting area, so after going to reception they informed me it was that area.
Water was available on the sofa and whilst the staff did introduce themselves, the first thing was to fill in a medical form. We had a couples massage booked and whilst I do not feel I received a good back and neck massage (didn't touch my neck) - my partner did view positively on hers. They did ask about the firmness of the massage but this didn't seem to be taken into account during the massage.
Once finished, we were taken into their "relaxation room" which essentially was a standard hotel room with the bed remove and the tv on a radio station. The first thing we were asked to do was fill in a feedback form, not very relaxing I must say. Fruit and water were available and free to leave whenever.
Rather disappointing to see the same feedback from other guests from a year ago.
