stayed here for our wedding anniversary initial impressions were good room was a little dated as is areas of the hotel had booked a treatment direct with the spa people ( excellent service from there 5/5 no faults excellent ) the walk way to the leisure services was cold and damp had an excellent treatment back to our room to change for dinner - down hill all the way from here on - there was a wedding reception going on there was only us and another party for evening meal oh and the parade of wedding guests staff and even the bride parading through the dining area to the bar and toilets . i commented to a member of staff who apologised put up a note to say o entry - didnt work . our food arrived over cooked and overladden with pepper by now the evening was ruinned as our evening meal was already paid for we couldnt even argue the bill - the restaurant manager however after half and hour waiting to see him to get the 10% service charge removed as i deffinantely wasnt paying it told us to just pay for our drink and he wouldnt charge us for the food !!!! bloody cheek of it- it was already paid for - we left the restaurant went to our room left straight after breakfast which was ok - have had better and worse but would absolutely never stay here again - not paying anyway the spa treatment was however amazing - did email the hotel chain but didnt warrent a reply obviously - there loss
I had a back massage (adjusted for pregnancy) with Kay and it was heavenly! Would recommend to any pregnant ladies. Great value too!
In terms of other facilities, the pool was a bit cold and crowded due to swimming lessons.
Really enjoyed our break. The hotel was very clean. The beauty treatments we had were out of this world. Well worth a visit. The only thing that stopped it being fantastic was they seemed to be low in stock in both the food and drink.
But the manager stepped in and helped us out as the lady on the bar wasn't very helpful. Other than that the rest of the staff were lovely.
Had an absolutely fab time the value was amazing the staff in Devine shine were fantastic it was definitely the best massage I'd ever had
The only fault I could find was the hotel reception staff weren't that pleasant or helpful but that didn't spoil the experience
Rooms were small and basic, spa facilities were also basic but the package we had included 2 nights accommodation with B&B which made this deal excellent value for money! Bus stop is right outside the hotel so extremely easy to get into Leeds city centre cheaply! Staff were all friendly, the hotel does need some upgrading though.
