Faulty Towers!
Although clean and tidy the whole place is in need of a refresh.
The main reason for my poor rating is the lack of trained staff. The evening meal which should have been a lovely relaxed evening with friends turned into an episode of farse and utter chaos from the kitchen. Not one course was served without errors and inedible food, the quality of which was obviously from the freezer at home cooked prices.
Staff have not been trained to deal with queries, the chef, well, just never trained!
Would I stay again, no, would I recommend the hotel, no. Such a shame as we had booked as a group as a special treat before someone emigrates.
Overall nice venue, jacuzzi was cold and men’s sauna out of use. Overall good value for money but not a 5* spa.
Great place to relax and chill out. Pool area was a little dated with a cold hot tub and saunas are separate for Male and females.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Parkeay. The only area lacking was the men’s sauna was out of use and looked like it was a long standing issue.
