First of all, Aisha the masseuse was lovely, very talented and it was a good massage.
But that's the only good news. On arrival, I was asked for my Wahanda voucher, and we all know it's paperless now and we are specifically told NOT to print out the receipt. The receptionist seemed not to believe me, although she had my booking, and knew I had paid already. It was not a good welcome. She asked to see the confirmation on my phone, but my phone doesn't do emails, and so she believed me even less. I just waited til she'd got over it, and then she led me down some stairs in to an ugly rabbit warren of rooms. It smelled. It was damp, clammy, mouldy and really not nice. The room for my treatment was tiny, and the poor lady doing the massage could hardly fit in with the bed and move. There was no where to hang or even put my clothes, only the floor. With my bag, and the masseuse kept treading on them as there was no where else for her to tread. I laid down on the bed, and it was a handmade job, with sharp - SHARP - edges cut from mdf where your face goes, when lying face down. It hurt. It was covered in tissue paper only. It left a big line down my face which was there an hour after the massage finished. There was a satsuma on the floor, to mask the damp smell, I guess. This was an aromatherapy massage, and I said I reacted badly to lavender and didn't want that, please. The masseuse left and came back with the receptionist who said it was the only oil they had. An aromatherapy massage with the choice of ONE oil ?! That's ridiculous ! Not even rose, or jasmine, or PLAIN ! One oil. For £45 ? Not good value, not good service, no. I took the massage with lavender and felt awful the next day, as I knew I would.
This place is a pit, it has no right to charge people £45 for a massage, even though the massage was perfectly fine. It wasn't worth £20. Don't go !
Nice place, convenient location opposite station. I had deep tissue massage, which was good, but sometimes a bit too strong for me. Overall satisfied with treatment
