Upon my arrival I was wellcomed in the salon by a nice member of staff who offered me several times if I wanted a hot beverage whilst I waited. The place was clean and the music was pleasant. The hairdresser was half an hour late. When she stared with my haircut I asked her to cut my hair longer at the back and shorter at the sides and told her that I wanted the exact same haircut I had but I just needed it shortened as it was now getting too long. To my surprise she didn’t look at my hair to see which haircut I had and didn’t communicate much keeping a closed semblante all throughout my time there. She asked me to wet my hair (I went for a dry cut) even before checking on the haircut I had. She performed the cut and at the end when she asked me how it looked I realised that my hair wasnt longer at the back and shorter at the sides. She had simply cut it straight. I complained and when she then cut the sides shorter she eliminated the longer layer I had asked her to make in order to keep it falling nicely and fading at the back. She also left longer a bit of hair on the left noticeable longer than the rest at the back. The ends of the hair were cut straight rather than unevenly. So the hair fell expremely heavy and harsh where you could see every scissor cut she performed. At the end she didn’t even give me the mirror to recheck the cut, I had to ask for it and as I she hadn’t encouraged communication and when I had complained about the different haircut she didn’t seem very happy, I honestly didn’t feel comfortable asking her to amend yet again what had been done. I left very unhappy. The following day I asked a colleague to check it for me and we agreedbthat i needed a proper haircut so I had to go to another hairdresser the following day. Never again! By far the worst haircut I ever had. I find it hard to believe that this was professional - I had a lot better done by students who where learning how to cut hair before. I am usually really easy going with what they do but I expect a professional hairdresser to listen and make the cut you want even if giving it their own twist, and to know how to perform a cut.
