Nahid is lovely, very professional and friendly. Made me feel comfortable. Wax was quick and relatively painless. The salon and treatment area in on a lower ground floor, so you have to walk through another business on the ground floor to get to it.
I walked past the location at first because it's inside a currency exchange bureau and it's difficult to tell that it's also a beauty salon. I entered and a lady sat on an office chair wheeled out of a room marked 'internet cafe' and asked me to take a seat. I waited in a waiting room that had a phone charger hanging out of the wall and bread crusts on the floor, it wasn't a great first impression. For the wax I was taken down some stairs into a room with unused light fittings on the ceiling and outdated decor which didn't feel fresh or clean. The result of the wax itself I was generally happy with, he gave them a good shape but the beautician seemed nervous and knocked a lamp when she pulled a wax strip off then snapped a threading string above my face. When I went to leave I advised the ladies that I'd booked through Treatwell and had already paid - I showed them the confirmation in the app and offered my booking code but they said it was fine and so I left. I was walking away when they came out of the salon and shouted to me that my booking wasn't in their system so I had to stop and get the code out that I'd already offered to give them inside. They took a photo of my phone screen and I walked away quite embarrassed that this had happened in public as it had made it seem like I hadn't infact paid for my treatment
