My first impression was that the place is actually called Holistic Health and not Flora Beauty. When I arrived for my appointment one of the two members of staff was sitting directly outside the front doorway smoking. This bothered me a lot as it's highly unprofessional and certainly not indicative of holistic health! That being said, my manucurist was very good. I'm very pleased with the finished result although she was a bit heavy handed with the filing and around the cuticles. When I left my fingers were very sore from the cuticle cutting and stung when she applied the polish. The selection was quite small, certainly not a full range but it was OPI and Morgan Taylor. They were being stored in the lid of an old Christmas gift box. The nail polish remover was Sainsburys own brand which just made me feel that the whole thing was quite unprofessional. Normally I wouldn't mind but for £20 I do expect more than that. I would expect that from a mobile manucurist perhaps. My manucurist also took a personal call in the middle of the treatment which made me very uncomfortable. Finally, she asked me to leave a recommendation on the iPad before I left which was entirely unprofessional and awkward, as she waited outside the room whilst I left an obviously dishonest review on another site (not Treatwell). It's obviously a new business and they need all the support they can get but it made me uncomfortable. The finished manicure looks great though even if my fingers were sore for a while afterwards. For the price and the area of West Hampsteas I expected a lot more from my service, certainly something more luxurious. Sadly I won't be returning as I don't have manicures very often, only occasionally as a treat. If you want something that gets the job done then sure, give it a go.
I had Dofina - she made me feel completely at ease as I was very nervous and it was the most pain free experience I've had. Absolutely fantastic. Will make this my regular go to now.
