Based on reviews, I thought I had booked a professional, reasonably priced full leg and bikini wax. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that they had nearly run out of wax but would do the best they could. I should have left then, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Surely they were prepared for the services they offered! Nope. The woman waxing my legs didn't seem to have had professional training or qualifications. I was asked how much I weigh in kilograms, and as someone whos isnt ashamed of her size i had no trouble answering as I didn't expect her response to be "oh, haha. I'm so skinny!" How unprofessional and downright rude! I am sure that wasn't how she meant to come across but I was taken aback. I went for a wax, not to be fat-shamed. Shortly after this the wax ran out (unprofessional) and another lady came in to assist with using hot wax, which was also almost out. When the hot wax was finished (after being applied in a dismal fashion) they went on to use facial wax on my legs and bikini line. By this point I was fuming but i didn't want to be rude. I was paying for this service, surely they would come through in the end. Nope. At long last, the lady 'finished' waxing my legs with a wave of her hand and said "well it looks better than it did". I left the waxless wax room, was still expected to pay full price (for what exactly?) and went home. I still had patches of wax on my legs and bikini line and the amount of hair that was left was awful. If I wanted to pay for a bad wax job, I would have just done it myself and still had better results. And to the assurance that "next time we wont run out of wax", cheers, but there wont be a next time.
