Staff were lovely except the receptionist who seemed very unprofessional
Pool was OK
Sauna was tired and needed new seating
Steam room was out of order and workmen were in although there was no mention of this on your website or horizons main website
The restaurant was very unorganised, every course of our dinner we were rushed and at breakfast they didnt keep the juice dispensers full waiting at least 10min every 15mins for someone to refill these even water.
Due to an error between treatwell and the hotel we couldnt have our treatments on the day of our stay but instead had to have them the following morning which doesnt in my opinion full under the spa overnight stay experience. I experienced a very frustating 2 weeks constantly speaking to both parties and didnt feel looked after and no polite apologies or compensation or complimentary elements were offered to alter my opinion.
The treatments were amazing but the customer service wasnt, we all felt rushed out of the room, were not offered water and this dismissed any relaxing feel made by the treatment. Also had to walk through the gym where people are working out to get to the gym which didn't make the experience feel very private or relaxing.
The pool area is very small, its an ok pool for a hotel but not when offering a relaxing spa weekend.
I wont be using treatwell again or the Basingstoke Apollo Hotel.
Staff lovely. Downside changing rooms are tiny, only 2 showers. In general not as much as you would expect from a 4 star hotel. We all wanted the same colour manicure but only 1 was allowed!!! Deal included prosecco which we had to fight for, and 2 of the 3 meals were incorrect in some way meaning we all dined individually as did the table next to us!! All in though for the price we paid it was value for money.
