Usually I'm the kinda person who dreads getting my hair cut, but this was a pleasant surprise for me. I bought a voucher on Wahanda for a cut and blow dry. The staff were friendly, chatty and welcoming. I was offered a drink when I sat down. The stylist I had hasn't been working there long but was friendly and did a good job on the cut. She was a bit rough pulling out my hair to cut (compared to what I've experienced before - it was pretty ouchy) - but I guess its partly due to the fact I have long hair. The blowdry though was not as painful as ones I've had in other places. The stylist showed me how to use straighteners to wave my hair - I've asked other salons/stylists to show me a different finish on my hair before but never been happy (they normally just scrunch dry my already wavy hair). So I was happy with being shown something new!
I was so impressed with them I decided to trust them to ombre my long dark hair. Up till now I only colour my hair to cover roots - I've never tried to lighten it (at a salon or at home). I booked in for another appointment and was quoted a good price (competitive to other good salons in the area). Watching the colourist work on my hair (it took her an hour just to paint in the various colours!) was like watching an artist at work! My only tiny niggle is I had no idea what to expect the outcome would look like - I wish she'd been able to show me an approximate colour that my hair might come close to or in range of by the end of the treatment. However - I was really happy with the results - its subtle, expertly done, a beautifully blended ombre effect - and it was finished off with a blowdry and straighten from the same stylist I saw the first time I went.
Last thing - I was showed products they used but there was no pressure to buy. I really liked that.
Bottom line - I am really happy with the cut and colour I received here. Thank you!

I was pleased to return back to BadApple. I discussed my haircut with my therapist and was shown some ideas and looks. Pleasant. I was also offered a drink and left smiling. Will certainly return very soon.

Lovely salon in a city centre location, busy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, and I felt like a valued customer. The stylist who cut my hair was great - she consulted with me about what I wanted, explained what she was doing, asked me how I wanted it styled after the cut, and the outcome was exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended!

I'm really fussy about anything to do with my hair, but they got the colour absolutely perfect!! I was also given really professional and useful advice about maintaining colour and condition. I hadn't booked for a cut in advance and although the salon was fully booked, they managed to fit in a cut with one of the trainees who did a fabulous job. Really really impressed and I would recommend this salon to anybody!
