The salon and staff are very funky as I expected from what I'd heard about the salon. The cut was absolutely brilliant and I'd definitely go back to the stylist. I wasn't as satisfied with the colour, it was well executed but a bit too subtle, think I'd be a bit disappointed if I'd paid full whack for the highlights. Great salon though, was well looked after and would go back.
Having neglected my hair for a good 12 months, I decided to place myself into the hands of the professionals! Increasingly depressed by my mummyish / mousey / mop, I gave the team (Harry and Michelle) the green light to do whatever they wanted with my one length, long bob - the only guideline was that I needed a style with minimum maintenance.
My first impressions of the salon were very positive - Rich at the front desk was friendly and informative and had me patch tested and arranged for a stylist to speak with me straight away. From my initial consultation I felt very confident. They REALLY listened to what I had to say and took on board my lifestyle - despite being given carte blanche to do anything, they approached my restyle with maturity and consideration.
I love my new look - a slightly more interesting long layered bob, with some graduation around the face. Harry was very clear about what he was doing and why. The cut came our exactly as he explained - no nasty surprises. I put myself completely in Michelle's hands for colour ( I didn't even look at a book) and she has done an amazing job (its practically the same colour that I am naturally before the grey and a dodgy tint set in).
Bad Apple Hair is a busy and business like salon. No, they're not falling over themselves to offer you endless cups of tea but I'm a grown up and asked for an extra cuppa and they were happy to make me one. The salon was obviously operating to capacity the day I went and it is a little cramped and quite hot. What it lacks in comfort it more than makes up for in results and value for money. When I paid, not only was I immediately offered my 25% discount, I was also given a card giving me 10% off my next visit.
I would definitely recommend this salon and will be visiting again myself very soon.

Cons
There's only a bench at the back of the salon to sit while your colour develops. Not very comfy as its too deep to put your back against the wall and its also a bit awkward in terms of personal space (or lack of) when more than two people are using it. Also couldn't use my Blackberry - Individual chairs and Wi-Fi please Bad Apple and you'd be perfect!
I had a ok experience at this salon I normally use Tommy Gunns in London but i wanted to try this salon. However despite everything it says about the salon and the so called bad apple experience there is nothing that really wowed me apart from the decor and interior of the salon, i did not feel comfortable if anything i felt like i was bring watched by other memebers of staff. My haircut was nothing special having had to wait approx 5 mins for my hairdresser to turn up, i had a good consultation with my hairdresser but the end result was not good i didnt like it at all.
Although i was a new client to this salon i was not offerd the 25% off either.
In all i would say that this salon is nothing special despite what they write on there website i wont be going back and wont be recommending it to my freinds either.
I'm REALLY surprised that someone went here and wasn't offered a drink - first thing you get asked is what drink if any you want? Before going to Bad Apple I was a nomad between hair salons and didn't particularly look forward to getting my hair cut because I'd never know how it'd turn out and if I'd need to by a brown paper bag to cover up with after but Bad Apple has definitely changed that - always ALWAYS top notch.
Hair Miles are also pure genius - can't wait to fill up my next card :D
Best place by miles - salon is brilliant, staff are great, and is definitely highly recommended.

OK, the salon was alright except for a few glitches. They gave me an early appointment for this deal, and when i got there no tea or coffee was offered and i almost nodded off. The place looks great, although 2 staff members where just standing there watching us (other cusotmers) gettin our cuts which felt uncomfortable. overall my haircut was alright, despite the fact i have really curly hair and no GHDs where used. Oh, and the hairdresser actually said your hair's uncontrollable, thanks for making me feel great(!)
