When I first walked in, I was a bit nervous - the staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly, put me at my ease. I was asked questions every step of the way, I felt totally comfortable with my choice. I love my new hair style - the colours (I had 3) and cut gave my hair a new bounce (had my long hair cut to shoulder length). The salon was spot-less and the toilet was clean. Every staff member that went passed me, asked if I wanted anything and smile (unusual for a hairdressers). Also, unlike other hairdressers, the coffee was free - other options cost £1.
This salon is fabulous. Lovely unusual decor, fabulous staff. I was so pleased with my cut, colour and finish and I had a kerastase treatment as well. This offer was the best value for money I have ever seen let alone been lucky enough to buy. I only hope that their "normal" prices aren't out of my price range because I do want to switch hairdressers and don't really want my hair done anywhere else.
I had my hair done as a birthday treat and was over the moon with the results! The stylist and colourists were really really helpful and friendly, discussing what I wanted and what was best for my hair. The cut was very good (although the finished result was not as bouncy as I like but that was the way it was blow dried not the cut itself). The colour is excellent- really natural effect. I had a mass of foils put in in two colours, so the salon didnt scrimp on the amount of work I had done even though it was a special offer! Overall the experience was brilliant! I felt pampered and "glossy" by the time I walked out of the salon some 2 1/2 hours later. I thoroughly recommend Bad Apple!
Adam, the colourist , helpful and put me at ease. He was generous with his time and coloured my whole hair even though i had paid for high/lights. Keith, the stylist, restyled my hair and everyone has commemted on how young i look and how modern i look. Super experience.
I had a lovely hair colourist who looked after me, asked me exactly what I wanted and spent lots of time ensuring she achieved the desired effect. I was really happy with the colour and it looked expensive and exactly what I imagined! However when being asked by my male hairdresser if I wanted to 'change' or 'maintain' my look I clearly said I wanted to maintain it with a slight trim to the ends and my side fringe. However I stressed as I had been growing my hair for several years I was keen to maintain the length. The guy got to work in what I have to add was the most erratic, ad-hoc style of haircutting I have ever encountered. He sliced, hacked and razored into the lengths and then my long side fringe which I only wanted a minor trim was hacked into a zig zaggy blunt fringe which sat an inch above my eye brows and in no other words was awful!! It was so quick and he had cut it in an 'Edward Scissorhands' stylee that I didnt get an opportunity to say stop until it was too late. I am now gripping my fringe back in the hope that it will grow quickly! I think Bad apple is a good salon, however if you want just a nice (normal, if not a little safe) haircut maybe its not for you. I just wish the hairdresser had left his experiemental style to model nights or to someone that can afford to be a bit more daring with their locks.
