The staff were really welcoming and friendly and Jamie (the hairdresser) was an absolute gem. I have crazy hair and he managed to tame it down and make me look beautiful by the end of the hour.

Busy, friendly salon. Seems to be very popular with men and women. I was very pleased with my hair cut by stylist Louisa and the blow dry finish was very sleek.

I have to say I was very excited for my hair appointment as i'd just moved up to Birmingham and been looking for a new hair salon. Needless to say I have never been more disappointed with a salon. I went in to book my appointment and was quoted a price for my cut colour and highlights which i was very pleased with. When my appointment finally came around the "head stylist" (who was an additional price) had no idea what she was doing with me, and then decided the highlights wouldn't be possible with my hair type and she should cut a stand of my hair to come back another day to see how the colour turns out. Maybe something that should of been told to me when i first booked the appointment? Once i was passed around to several different members of the team to just have my roots coloured, the male stylist who cut my hair was very talented, new exactly what he was doing and very good with female hair. My hair has actually been in better condition since then so if you need a cut, book in with Adam I think his name was. As i went to pay for my finished hair which i wasn't over the moon about as i was expecting a full had of highlights, i was charged an extra £50 on top of my quoted price for less treatments!!! At that point I was so angry and done with the place, i'd judged it on its professional modern layout and what seemed like experienced staff but came out feeling like i'd been taken for a idiot.
I never write reviews but as I was on this site before my treatment to see the previous reviews I felt to share my experience. I have now found an amazing hair salon in Nottingham called h20 Salon its a train away but they offer so much and most importantly friendly customer service.
I don't mean to be negative but I would seriously consider before booking here especially as it charges so much for nothing special.

The interior design is very quirky too which adds to the ambience of a Purely Good Salon- friendly staff, clean facilities, genuine characters.
Stacey was my hairdresser for the day and she did a great job!!! I showed her a picture of what I wanted done and before I could even go into more detail about it,she started talking about what she was going to do and it perfectly matched what I wanted to say! She was very friendly with a great sense of humour and I got the best haircut ever! I would not change a thing about the experience and I am definitely going back :)
