This was my first time getting nail extensions and I was hoping for some guidance as to how to achieve the look I wanted, not knowing a thing about my options past the little i could gleam from the Internet. However, the staff didn’t really speak English very well and so communication was very poor between my lack of expertise and their lack of language in the matter, I hardly knew what I was going to get. The two other women in the shop seemed pleasant but the woman actually doing my nails seemed hurried and brusque and kinda rude, never smiled once nor offered me a drink, and seemed in a rush to get me started without really even trying to communicate what I was to have done (unlike the other two with their clients). Occasionally I brought up issues and she redid bits without comment, often to her own liking and not to mine so that I had to tell her to go back and keep fixing the area. Im not usually fussy but usually if you identify an area you aren’t happy, the technician fixes it and then asks if that’s better etc and it’s a back and forth between you and them. Only the second time I mentioned something and asked a question, she simply said “Im not finished”. Not sure if rudeness or language barrier.
As I was there, two women in quick succession were left waiting for a considerable amount of time, the latter of which complained.
I am fine with no chit chat and wouldn’t require that for ambience as some would but I would have loved more explanation and feedback about my nails. I know from googling since that I had dip nails done, and they look very nice, but I have no idea if that’s really what was required for the look I wanted - and ofc it was the most expensive thing, although that was stressed to me.
I would not say this is the place to go for a first timer like me if you want to discuss your options. And judging by the two more friendly technicians, I would say I was unlucky with who I got.
