I've been quite a few times before to the Spa for treatments and pamper days, this time my treatments were ok but not as good as previously.

The Spa treatments and facilities were fantastic! The staff looked after us and made us feel relaxed and welcome but unfortunately that was the best bit of our experience.
There was a wedding on the same weekend we attended and it felt like all the staff were more concerned about the function rather than the overnight stays. The staff were doing their best in the resteraunt and were very apologetic but the wait was unacceptable. We waited 20 minutes to be asked for drinks orders and a further 30 minutes to take our food order. The drinks didn't turn up until after we got our food.
In the morning everybody on our floor was up from 6am because there was a dog barking and never stopped.
On arriving at the resteraunt for breakfast we were told there would be a wait and 6 groups waiting before us with no idea of time to wait. We asked if we could take our food and eat in the bar as we needed to leave.
I was disappointed all round with the experience (not inc Spa) as I stayed at the hotel on the same deal 18 months prior and had an amazing experience with no complaints.
I mentioned to the receptionist all of my complaints as we checked out and she wrote everything down and said the manager would phone me.. I'm still waiting on that phone call!
If there's one area is say the hotel could improve on it would be to be more prepared and organised when there's a function going on.
I'm almost certain if there wasn't a wedding going on at the same time as our stay our feedback would've been much better.
I have used the Hallmark many times. The treatments are good and therapists pleasant. On my most recent visit I didn't get a robe to change into beforehand as usual as was told I'd have to pay for it unless I had booked a package. This is the first time I'd come across this and found having to get changed in the room before and after a £35 massage took something away from the relaxation of it. The relaxation room is nice and a short walk through the hotel to the treatment rooms which are hotel bedrooms that have been transformed. Only drawback to this is sometimes you get noise from the corridor, including the cleaners vacuuming during treatment.
