Loved the experience, very relaxing and enjoyable. It would have been better if the questionnaire was completed before entering the treatment room as this reduced the actual treatment time. Lovely member of staff.
I really enjoyed my first visit to the Spa at Hallmark in Ferriby. Everything about it was lovely. I had a neck should and back massage first which was amazing and the therapist was brilliant and thoughtful asking me what pressure I would like (never been asked that before) and if there were any particular areas I wanted her to pay attention too. The beauty room was so relaxing with a heated massage bed and soft relaxing music playing. I later had a manicure and have to say that I have never had nail varnish stay on my nails for a week but it's still looking good!! The therapist knew her stuff and was friendly and chatty when needed. I'll definitely return.
It did not happen. It was cancelled by the hotel. I am still waiting for a refund and the manager to call me back. I am disgusted and will never use this company again. My friend and I had this planned for ages. We've made four phone calls and still no refund. My money has been falsely held. I'm utterly appalled and will be taking the matter further.
The treatment itself was very enjoyable. However, when we arrived at the venue we went to find the reception to the spa. Eventually we found the therapy room and knocked on the door. We were told we needed to wait in the Beauty Room to be called through. After our treatment, we were returned to the Beauty Room again. After waiting for 10 minutes, it became apparent that no one was coming back through to us so we went to the bar to request our complimentary coffee and pastry. Later in the day, we got a phone call to say that as nobody had taken our gift vouchers from us, we had to return to the hotel to hand them in, which was very inconvenient.
I assume that our first mistake was not going to the hotel reception desk. But having used the Spa in another hotel which had its own reception I was expecting the Hallmark Spa to be the same. However, I expected that when I made the booking on the telephone I should have been given this information. I feel we would have enjoyed the treatment a lot more if I hadn't felt so confused!
