This was a beautiful spa, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Only drawback was that for us the sauna was too hot - so hot that we couldn't sit on the benches, and touching the door handle to escape felt very close to burning!
A fabulous experience. The staff made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and were attentive throughout the day. The treatments we booked were amazing - the best facial I have ever had! Will definitely return and would highly recommend it to friends and family.
Once you've purchased the spa day for the date, you need to ring the venue, as they weren't expecting us on the day I had booked for online. Also it was my sister's 60th on the day and were asked if we wanted to go back on another day after travelling there which took us an hour and half to reach from home, no way.... The staff at the reception was uninterested, didn't show us around and unhelpful. We were given towels on arrival. We asked if we could book couple of treatment for a treats for my sister and was told that they were fully booked. Looked like there was no one to do the treatments as the place didn't look busy to me.... No rob or slipper provided, you have to pay. Mineral grotto, was ok as couldn't feel any benefit, heated bed seemed like they weren't on, not even at room temperature, Just had few relaxing loungers. The place is very small. Relaxing room upstairs was small as when four of us, there was no room for us to sit there... Hydrotherapy pool was luke warm, should be hot....., aroma steam room had no aroma, just steam. Sauna was good. Overall ok day, nothing special... As I have been to other spa days which have ben far better than Hilton Spa day. Maybe coz we got discounted tickets we weren't given special welcome.....
Went to the Imagine Spa at the Hilton, for the fire and ice experience. The spa itself is very small and so seems full if more that 10 individuals are there at any one time and hence can be noisy. Overall the spa is lovely, it is clean, but could do with one or two more steam rooms, as the spa had treatment rooms that were not being used, and no relaxation areas. On the day we visited some of the facilities were not working, including the heated loungers that were cold so didn't serve a purpose, one of the hydro-jets in the hydro-pool was also not working. People put towels on loungers when not using them, but this probably because there are not enough hooks to hang up robes. The hydro-pool is the best feature of the spa, as is the aroma-steam room, although the scents could have been stronger, the mineral room was a lovely contrast to the heated rooms. Treatwell did a 50% reduction on the usual entry price for the use of this spa (£35 for 2 person), for the facilities on offer, this was priced right. I would visit again as the spa is very clean and the hydro-pool a really nice feature. Overall I have awarded the experience 4 stars.
