My name is Virginie, I have been a massage therapist for over 10 years. I was lucky to receive massages from a very young age and so it became my passion. I have worked for years in spa's in London. I have a special interest in women's health. I strongly believe in the benefits of massage to help physical and mental health.
My name is Harminder and if you decide to visit me which Iâm hoping you will then I shall be your massage therapist. I thought Iâd use this section to write a little bit about myself and my journey in order for you to have a feel of who I am and how Infinity Massage Therapy came into existence. Iâve put a lot of time and effort into deciding what would be the right kind of business to create. Asking myself big questions such as: what do I enjoy? How would it be able to help others? After considering all of these factors, I eventually decided on a massage business as Iâm a people person and engage well with those from all walks of life. Friends and family have said in the past that my massages were great, despite not having formal training. I put it down to the fact that, from the ages of 5 to 16, I used to massage my dad regularly as in Indian culture this is common practice. The driving force for my passion for massage was to help people with a number of ailments such as anxiety, stress, soft tissue injuries and also those who suffer from debilitating conditions such as fibromyalgia. Once I decided that this was what I wanted to pursue, I looked into getting a massage qualification and eventually chose the YMCA in Brighton. They provided a level three course which cost ÂŁ1800 over a three-month period, part-time. This was perfect as it allowed me to still work full time whilst studying. The next few months were challenging as it was hard finding the ever elusive work/life balance. However, focused and invested in the journey of reaching my goal, I persevered and thankfully my hard work paid off. I passed the course! Now, it was time to put what I had learned to practical use. I found myself a part-time massage position and over the year I improved my craft until I felt I was ready to start the process of creating my own business. In September 2019, I did exactly that and created Infinity Massage Therapy, situated in a fantastic location in the heart of Brighton.
Hello Iâm Chris, the new Sports Therapist here at Infinity Massage and I thought it best for you to get to know a bit more about me. I studied for 4 years at the University of Chichester, before obtaining Sports Therapy MSci. This involved a lot of hard work and a good few clinical placements. I have always been an active person, getting involved in as many sports as I can. Football is my main interest which I played from the age of 7 until I went to university. However, during my time at university I decided to try another sport and joined the rugby team. Which I now recognise was one of the best decisions I ever made. Since university I have been able to use my skills and still be involved with sport, as I often found myself on the side lines with my medical bag ready to run on. I now keep active by regularly going to the gym as well as recently taking up road cycling, something that was more of a hobby for me has now turned into a passion. I am always up for trying new and exciting sports and challenging myself physically. It wasnât until applying for university that I knew what I wanted to do with my life, being a kind and caring person and listening to others has always been my strong point, but it wasnât until I had been on a few different taster days at different universities that I realised there was a course made for me. It allows me to put others before myself and help them to achieve their goals, return themselves to their full fitness and push themselves in ways they didnât know they could, all while being in a sporting/ active environment. I believe I have learnt more from working with different people everyday then I ever could have at university, which is why love being a Sports Therapist.
