This was my first wax and I was so nervous but therapist really put me at ease and even had me laughing.
Yes it's a bit painful but she did everything she could
To minimise this and it was a pretty quick treatment.
Treatment room was nice and private, tidy and clean.
I've only awarded 4 stars as there were a few hairs left but these did feel like baby hairs and maybe this is because I'm a waxing novice.
Will head back here though
So this was my very first keratin treatment, and my very first trip to the hairdresser full stop. Crazy I know, but with frizzy mixed heritage hair I just used to wrap it in a bun unsure of which salon to go to without spending extortionate amounts on specialist hairdressers.
From the beginning the staff were relaxed but helpful. It didn't feel stuffy or pretentious. I alerted the receptionist as a precaution that I had a birthmark on my scalp (after reading the disclaimer about scars etc). The matter was taken seriously and the hairdresser came to speak to me about it and throughout the treatment reminded me to let her know about any unsual feelings on that side.
The stylist also discussed the different keratin options with me and then helped me to choose the best one after I was indecisive. The treatment itself went fine. I was comfortable and offered a drink on several occasions. After the keratin had been left in long enough it was time to seal it in. A different lady blow dried and straightened my hair. She was absolutely meticulous. Got very close to the scalp without burning and worked in very small sections. I had never seen my hair so straight!
I was offered the option of buying shampoos and conditioners from the salon to do my own washout at home or come back to the salon and choose the later.
I've since had my wash out, blow dry and trim and my hair looks and feels great.
Definitely would come back here again.
