I had a clear discussion with the hairdresser. I wanted two inches off and I end up with a bob (at least 6 inches taken off!) I am so upset, this is really not what I wanted. Hairdresser was clearly over booked and over stressed and not focussed. I wasn’t offered any drinks on arrival either. I cannot put into words how upset I am. When I told the hairdresser it wasn’t what I wanted she just said “oh”... As she started cutting at the back there was nothing I could do until it was too late. I would not recommend this salon. 16 Feb appointment at 1500 (haircut started at 1530).
Kim was great. Sat me down before we started and asked me what i wanted in terms of a haircut. And kept checking if it was okay throughout. Would go again.
When L'Oreal began their ads with 'because I'm worth it' I just did not get it. And now I do. At my recent and second most brave hair decision to date was to colour my hair. Kim the founder of ITS hairdressing is a hair artist. The three pillars of a great hairdresser are cutting skills, styling skills and colouring skills. Kim has aced them all. I am so excited that Kim is back in town. My hair always get that wow factor in her capable hands spanning over 30 years of experience and passion. It shows.
She knew I was nervous about colouring and she worked with me which assured me. Her thing is always about quiet elegance so I knew she won't make me look fake. I am so pleased with my half head high light. I have long brown hair with some grey. She chose a series of tones which works in harmony with my natural hair tone and gave it a lift which brightens up my face. I was just so thrilled when I saw the result that I was beaming with happiness and found myself saying 'because I'm worth it'. She also used L'Oreal colours for professionals which is an excellent brand for colour longivity and quality.
The salon is friendly, stylish and clean located near Kensington Garden end of Gloucester Road. I look for sophistication when it comes to people, business, fashion, beauty and in life generally. Sophistication is an art that is acquired with time. I am after a great look but I have no patience for pretences chit chat that can feel prevail the beauty industry in the absent of competency. Kim is really grounded and her art is not vanity, she is all about what makes you look amazing. If you come with a set of instructions you will look amazing. But if you give her artistic freedom you will look like a well groomed, sophisticated, quiet elegant millionaire. From looking at you she knows what fits. I highly recommend Kim at ITS 68 Gloucester Road near Kensington Garden. Thank you so so much. I love my hair.
