Yasmen did a brilliant job giving me just the haircut I was after, all while offering advice on whether to go shorter, add layers, etc. She may be young but my goodness she definitely knows what she's doing! I won't be going anywhere else for my cuts in the future.

I had the 75 min wash, cut and blow-dry and was really happy with the result. My hairdresser Yasmin was very warm and encouraging, which is good because I can be quite shy with these things. I would definitely recommend this, since its excellent value for money. Tip to other customers: there is another barber shop named Jacksons near it that I went into accidentally - Jacksons For Hair is further down, not as immediately opposite Waitrose as the website suggests.

Ladies' Waxing
Oh lord. What a lack of experience. Went there just for a full bikini wax and once I got undressed the lady seemed lost and confused, like she had never done a bikini waxing before. I even called in advance to advise I have long and fine hair, to ensure they had the appropriate staff and wax to perform the job. I have done waxing for 15 years so I know when someone have at least the basic skills, which was not the case here. Once she started, she was more scared than me, kept asking if it was hurting, too hot etc, although I said several times all I wanted was to do her job and that I was feeling fine. She then didn´t know which parts she should remove the hair from, although I said clearly what I wanted. She then spilled wax in my intimate area, got very nervous, a utter mess. It was not painful but the lady was not skilled at all and I wonder why they keep these people performing something they don´t know how to do. In the end she could not remove the hairs thoroughly and I left very unsatisfied. Next time I will not mind paying more but having this treatment under the hands of someone who knows how to wax!
