The venue may not seem perfect at first sight, however the treatment has been great. Professional, friendly with individual consulting on my skin care. Dermalogica products. Will definitely book again!
These guys have allocated my appointment very efficiently - though they were booked for the whole afternoon. So that's good. on the other hand nail polish has been applied rather not professionally, the lady kept the gap between the polish and cuticle way too wide. I would say good express option - when you are desperate and your fav place is all booked up
I had the Collagen Hydrating Facial with Dermalogica products (30th October 2014). What I loved: - The therapist clearly knows her stuff - the facial itself was excellent and very thorough. I've had quite a few Dermalogica facials over the years and this was definitely one of the better ones, especially in terms of how my skin looked at the end. Shame she didn't introduce herself so I could recommend her by name. She was definitely on the upper end of tip-worthy. I don't automatically tip unless I think the service was worth it - but I left a £5 tip this time to reflect how good I thought the facial itself was. - Dermalogica products are just great - no more needs to be said about that. - Thorough extractions that didn't leave any red marks - I've had some facials in the past where my face was left bright red and sore in parts after a particularly deep extraction session - this one didn't though which was fab. Yes it was painful in the moment, but my blackheads have been squeezed into submission and that doesn't happen without a bit of effort! - Very modern, well-fitted and spacious treatment room - none of that banging into the bed to get around it that you get in some of those cupboards they call a treatment room in some salons! What I didn't love so much: - Wahanda had appointments available to book which weren't actually available. I booked online for the same day (yesterday) but was called very quickly to say that appointment wasn't available. No real explanation given as to why this was, but the lady on the end of the phone was apologetic and sorted out an appointment for today instead. Not sure whose side was at fault, but it all ended up ok in the end. I really like the last-minute feature of Wahanda - I think more salons should take advantage of this and offer discounts for last minute appointments instead of being empty and relying on walk-ins. At any rate, I'd perhaps recommend buying the voucher and book direct instead of booking an appointment directly through this website. - The therapist didn't introduce herself, didn't explain why she left the room within the first five minutes and didn't tell me when she was about to do the extractions (a bit of warning before you do the painful - though essential - stuff would be nice). I know some people hate it when the therapist says a word during a facial and so some therapists go completely silent, but I dislike it when I don't know what is happening as I feel I can't quite relax properly as something odd might be about to happen while I've got cotton wool on my eyes and can't see what is happening. This can be sorted by simply asking at the beginning of a facial which way the client prefers it. - About 10 minutes in someone else came into the room very stealthily and just stood there watching for a bit before creeping out again silently. This was very odd and somewhat creepy. I think there was a problem with the steamer and she was there to check but as nothing was said I can't be sure. At this point I didn't have cotton wool on my eyes so I could see the door open and the person walk in... The light outside was very bright. - While the mask was on the therapist popped out for 10 minutes and chatted outside to her colleagues (or at least someone did) - unfortunately the tea/coffee area is right by the treatment room door and there is no sound-proofing. While there was lift music on, it didn't cover the noise of the chatting. However, I did my best to tune it out... - Talking of music, it was generic lift-salon-therapy music which wasn't particularly brilliant. I love it when salons take a stand on taste and go for either classical or Cafe del Mar and so on rather than the generic stuff (or even better, when they offer you a choice!). At least it wasn't whale song though - that's the worst! Overall, I would go back again (and would ask for that therapist if I only knew her name!) - and would recommend it to others. I don't give 5 stars unless everything was absolutely outstanding and I really don't have any suggestions for improvement - so 4 stars is still pretty great in my opinion.
Good manicure, Suzanna very pleasant and welcoming. The eyebrow threading is also very good here and I have always been made to feel welcome and as it is on my doorstep it is very convenient.
It was perfect pressure on the message, not too soft, not too hard! Felt very relaxed and re-energised leaving the saloon,
