If anyone is reading these reviews and wondering whether to give Jiemao a go, I urge you to ignore the relatively bad ones posted lately and to definitely go for it - Jiemao is amazing and you will love your eyelashes!
The customer service alone is fab, and the lashes you get to walk away with after will make you so happy you went. I have naturally stumpy sparse eyelashes and go for the classic individual and a natural look as I just like to look fresh and awake at work, even when I’m doing long hours and feeling run down. It’s an extremely nice space to relax and a professional yet comfortable setting. You don’t feel anything whilst it’s happening and I tend to drift in and out of sleep!
In terms of the follow up, they can last as long as is suggested providing you take extra care of them. This a crazy unrelenting heatwave we’re going through at the moment and unless you’re taking extra care of the extensions, they are going to fall out quicker than usual. I experienced this myself when, after an infill, the lashes had all nearly gone after just 6 - 7 days, even though they had lasted weeks previously! I quickly booked another appointment to sort them out. Salina noticed this and actively reached out to ask if everything was ok. I explained what had happened. After a lot of helpful discussion, turns out the heat and humidity in combination with my oily skin was the culprit and I needed to clean them gently but thoroughly with a soft make up brush and water - and more often, whereas I’d been avoiding getting them wet other than to lightly cleanse them in the morning and evening... which was fine when it was cooler, but not in this weather. As soon as the 24 hours were up, I give them a good clean with water to wash away any build up. A slight change to the aftercare made all the difference and has restored my lashes to their expected life span. Am officially addicted...
Thanks Jiemao!
It is a strange location. That said, the staff member who met me was a very lovely person and I actually think she tried hard and my lashes looked really great when I left. My new lashes have been falling out quite a bit, however. I know that it is my new lashes and not my previous infill. The glue is different and there were 4d's which I don't normally wear. She did mention that there were a number of baby lashes on my left eye and she used some 4d's on them to make sure I had coverage. While that is true, I do have a few baby lashes currently, my regular lash technician knows how to deal with it well. I think it comes down more to experience than anything else. I am not totally disappointed however, this is a very reputable place and I think I would go back.
It was a lovely room clean and tidy staff were so friendly but after only 6 days my lashes have started to fall off and for £108 I expected them to last 2-3 weeks that was said, I have followed all instructions not getting them wet and looking after them properly I’m quite disappointed
