I went for:
- dermatologic facial (paid)
- eyebrow shape (wax) (paid)
- single session of female laser hair removal (chin only) (refunded)
I did NOT find Sisa PROFESSIONAL for the following reasons:
1. treatment rooms don't look like on the photographs, basement rooms are cold, HUMID and are not well air-conditioned (after one hour of treatment your lungs will feel heavy).
2. the manager's assistant took a LONG TIME doing the eyebrow waxing; a light burn appeared afterward at home.
3. I HAD TO REBOOK to do the laser hair removal because it wasn't compatible with the facial.
4. NO staff informed me I had to shave before the laser hair removal session, although I spoke to them 3 times before and on the phone. (Other laser hair removal clinics don't require shaving before, especially not in the face!)
5. The manager's assistant was NOT ready to assist me with calling treatwell for refunding the laser hair removal session and did NOT offer me their work phone. Businesses should know how to use online platforms such as the treatwell app if that's where they manage to lure in clients!
6. Hygienic standards of the premises such as the toilets weren't respected, with missing elements such as toilet paper and hand towels.
I was disappointed by the service.
I chose the venue as my preferred salon was fully booked and I wasn't prepared to pay more than 20pound for a shellac. However, I doubt I will be coming back unless it will be too difficult to find a decent venue again. Sisa Beauty Clinic is conveniently located in Stoke Newington but the venue seems really shabby. I was taken downstairs to something resembling a cellar - seemed like it was the first time someone had done a manicure there as the entire manicure kit was still in full packaging. My manicure doesn't look bad but it took the lady who was doing it 1 hour and she was constantly checking her phone throughout; it was quite chilly in the room too. The worst bit was that she left big cuts around the skins of my nails; they were bleeding throughout the hour, for quite a while afterwards and very sensitive few days after. Overall, don't think it's good value for money and would only recommend it in ''worst comes to worst'' cases.
