Fabulous blow dry for a ball I was attending in Manchester. Very central & easily accessible. Friendly team & super quick!
I’ve had my hair done here multiple times before and never had any issues, and I’ve rated them on Treatwell previously too. But today, I was running behind for my 2:15 appointment and called to let them know, they told me they had quite a few girls coming in at 2:30 and go get there ASAP. Fair enough; I got there at 2:30 and was the only person in the salon, but was asked to wait until after the other appointments. I had a train so I couldn’t wait, so they said they could do a quick blow dry on me but I would still have to pay full price; again fair enough. The two employees worked together and rushed my hair to have it done in 10 minutes - at this point it’s 2:45 and I’m still the only person in the salon. It looked great though I knew it would fall as it wasn’t as tight as I wanted but I figured they were pressed for time. I left the salon and drove by about 15 minutes later on my way to the station (about 3 pm) to see no one else in the salon still. Moral of the story - either those ladies didn’t show up or there were no other appointments. I could’ve had the style I wanted for the £24 I paid, instead of having half flat hair by time I got to my event. I would go back to get it done, as I obviously understand it was my fault for being late, but it wasn’t really fair to make me feel bad and rushed when no one else was coming in.
Unfortunately not what I was looking for, due to having very thick hair I get professional blow drys quite often as keeps it straight much longer, this isn't somewhere I will go again. The sink was so uncomfortable it's left a bruise on my neck (although the wash was done really well) and then the drying was brutal my neck was in further pain, no need to pull that hard. I asked for it to be straightened but they didn't have any straighteners, was offered to go over it again with a paddle brush and when I refused as would make no difference got told it looks fine anyway!! I had to do my hair again the next morning as it had already doubled in size, complete waste of money. For the price it's comical, to then also use extremely cheap products too. Considering I came in for the poker straight blow dry at least have the decency to call someone to inform them if you can't produce or cancel. No even offer of a discount.
