I chose Kays's salon out of a desire to support a small business in my neighbourhood. My primary need was for waxing, but as I arrived the beauty therapist kept pushing for me to try more and more services. That would have been fine by me, though I would rather not be on the receiving end of salesmanship when I'm coming to receive a relaxing treatment. However what really got me was that the therapist was unable to deliver one of the additional services she was so pushing to sell - a manicure. I've had bad manicures in the past, but never have I left a salon with bleeding cuticles and peeling, uneven, lumpy nail polish till my visit here. I understand this small fledgling business is probably in dire financial need, but I still feel strongly its not right to offer and push on a customer services the beautician is clearly not able to deliver to at least a modicum of professional standard. I reiterate, my experience with waxing here was excellent and I would come back for that. Manicures, not recommended. Sorry.
