An extremely negative experience at KoKo today. I had booked a Shellac removal and classic manicure at Koko through Treatwell. It was my first time there.
Stepping in there was a very strong chemical odour and all towels seemed dirty. Sonia who was quite friendly and helpful removed my Shellac and left me to Bella to give me a manicure. Unfortunately she was so harsh with my hands, she cut me during the manicure and my finger was bleeding. She seemed to be in a rush, I didn’t get why. She didn’t even say hi to begin with and I introduced myself and greeted her. I asked her to be more careful. As I stood up to pay before nail polish, Tina at the cashier told me it was cash only policy. I had no idea it was cash only - neither from the app nor from the phone conversation we had before I got there. They told me to go and get cash and I told them I would like to pay by card. She treated me as if she was threatening me and was extremely rude. I left saying she is rude and this is not the way to treat a customer. I still feel shocked by the treatment I received there. Never stepping in again.
Have noticed that the polish is uneven nearer my cuticle but otherwise it’s a good manicure. Staff are always lovely and the hand massage helped me relax more than I expected it would lol.
