Bit confusing to find at first as you can only see barber shop...It is a new salon for ladies, so at the moment there is only one chair. Barber shop has been there for a while. Jevgenia was great. I would definitely go back :)
La Damme Verte, a hidden gem right by Old St station. I have never in my life had a hairdresser who told me the "science" behind whats going on with my hair, recommended great products, respected the amount I wanted to cut (didn't give me a traumatic haircutting experience), and one of the best blowdry's I've ever had! I'll definitely become a regular.
It was a cute salon but I was taken down into the basement for my haircut. I spent 5 minutes explaining to my hairdresser (who was very nice) that I'm growing out my hair and I just wanted the uneven bits tidied up. I stressed how important it was for me that not much was to be done. Long story short, I was given an extremely short, uneven, alternative haircut which was not requested. I had to fix this up myself because I am scared to go back to any hairdresser with the fear more hair will be cut off. Not only is it now too short to put up, my hair growth has been put back about 6 months. This sounds melodramatic but I am quite sensitive about my hair and I have to wear this haircut everyday until it's long enough again to put up.
