First impressions were not good as one of the staff members were havjng a cigarette outside the front door. No body was at the counter so I had to wait for her to finish.
She then couldn't find my appointment, told her I did it through the Treatwell app and she eventually did.
The lady who did the waxing spoke on the phone in another language via an earbud for the entire waxing process, based on her colleague talking to her I gathered thus was the owner who the salon is named after!
The waxing was done in the main salon area, good job I wasn't having any intimate waxing done!
There didn't seem to be any proper set up for waxing as the hot wax was kept on a table away from reach of the beautician and because of this as she went back and forth she dripped the hot wax in my hair.
To be perfectly honest I dreaded looking in the mirror at the end. fearing I'd have no eyebrows left. Thankfully I did and she had done a mostly good job, (after going home I found that I still had to pluck quite a few from above and below the eyebrow as quite a few stray hairs were left).
When it came to paying the first lady I had encountered asked me what the price was, I couldn't remember exactly as had booked days in advance, I was also informed the card reader was down and I'd have to go to the cash point across the road.
Overall I was reasonably happy with the end product itself, I shouldn't have needed to tidy them up once getting home as I was only going for a tidy in the first place not a re-shape but the service was atrocious.
I would not visit again.
Lamia was really accommodating. She let me start a bit earlier as I came in earlier and pinned up my hair when I was done so the rain didn’t ruin the curls. She’s really friendly too- gave me a delicious Turkish coffee. I would highly recommend as it’s great value for money.
I had to wait for 20-25 minutes before it was actually my Turn. The staff were nice but disorganised. Felt like the hairdresser didn’t pay attention the haircut I had and just chopped a little randomly
