Had a full body wax back in January and was advised that my bikini area would benefit from laser treatment. I am a black women so normal laser or IPL is not recommended for my skin tone; I was given a leaflet and told to read up about their new machine Ng: YAG; (which is appropriate for all skin tones) I did a little research and decided to book a session on Treatwell as it worked out cheaper. I was seen by Lida who was absolutely lovely and gentle, she made me feel so relaxed as I was quite nervous about the pain. This was my first experience with laser and I was so impressed I decided to booked another session for the next month. Lida even spoke to the manager for me to see if she could get me the same deal I paid online and she came through; so thank you Lida!! I also had my full legs waxed by another beautician which I don't really have many issues with, apart from the fact that the lady kept putting the wax on my skin while it was burning hot. I am usually good with pain but that was quite uncomfortable. A tip: maybe ask clients if temp is ok and blow wax before application to sensitive areas ie upper thigh/bikini. However, the lady was apologetic and I could see it was a genuine mistake. Salon is quite basic in decor but all staff I have dealt with have been polite and informative. Don't judge a book by its cover, give this place a try and I am sure you'll be back every month like me.
