I tried this salon as I'm new to the area and i'm in need of a new hairdresser. Well, I really was impressed! My hair really was lovely - it looked so glossy and healthy afterwards. The staff are all very nice and friendly and made me feel very welcome. I would certainly go back again.
I had my hair coloured, cut and blow dried today and felt compelled to write a review straight away! I was really impressed with the amount of consultation time given at the start to help me decide on the right colour and cut, giving me lots of ideas and opinions which is refreshing! A lot of care was taken in applying the colour, the cut and blow dry was really lovely and felt pampered and not at all rushed. I was given lots of advice and the atmosphere is very friendly. I saw vintage hair and make up being applied to other customers, which looked great. Its clear to see that it will be a fantastic place to visit once all decoration is sorted and they are working hard to achieve this. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future!!
I felt very comfortable and happy in the salon and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I was very happy with all the attention that went into my highlights, cut and blow-dry and loved the end result. My daughter recommended the salon to me an I will certainly be telling all my friends about it too! Thank you!
This was the second time I've visited this up and coming, unique and special salon. I have been hugely impressed on each occasion. Liz and all her staff are really warm & friendly - it feels a bit like going to a pal's house for a pamper session, but with highly skilled professional (no offence lovely friends :) )! Each time I've been I have not been sure what I want from my hair, but Liz has advised and created a new style for me that actually works and is manageable on a day to day basis. I have curly hair but usually always wear it straight or up because I don't know how to manage it down. Since visiting Liz at Betty Lou's and getting her advice, I am now able to wear my hair down and curly, and it looks really nice! This is quite amazing after 30 years of hating my curls! I've also had my hair coloured and Liz has picked out such beautiful shades - I've received many compliments.
Betty Lou's is currently expanding and they will soon be offering beauty treatments, so it's great to know I'll soon be able to go back for not only a hair cut, but a massage and a wax etc
I have lived in Brighton for 15 years and I have never had a hairdresser that I loyally return to...until now! Very pleased to have found Betty Lou's and I highly recommend it.
Literally couldn't ask for a better salon in Brighton, well the UK!
The girlies working there are more than wonderful, I felt so comfortable and welcomed, none of this snooty nosed staffed places!
They've recently moved next door to a bigger property and it's amazing, the art work and whole vibe is fantastic, frankly I'm waiting to move in!
Kev was painting the main window piece while I was there and happily joined in the girlie conversation and about nails... he is a genius with a paint brush and panel of glass. He really has made the whole salon look amazing.
Alex is a legend in the nails world, how she creates some of the delicate art work I don't know, I'm sure she has tiny tiny men to paint when I'm not watching! Highly recommend nails for a night out or just to wow your friends... I know I did it at work!
Liz is a star in the hair department; she knows just what suits you and importantly what won't! Patience and attentive, a good laugh as well, I felt confident in her hands. She's even created my own 'red' dye!!
Not to forget Nat, she's a dream, really friendly and knowledgeable and again made me feel so relaxed being there.
(I got ready for a date in the salon and felt a million dollars leaving, thanks ladies!)
I look forward to my appointments with Betty Lou's and it's gift vouchers all round for the friends this Christmas!
As a Stage Manager, I have lined Betty Lou up with some work in a theatre in Brighton in the Hair n Make Up Dept. I've seen the work they do and couldn't have thought of anyone better to help us out.
Forget 10/10, it's 15/10 girls!
