My friend and I went for a 2 night break - absolutely loved it - very relaxing - lovely and clean - room airy and spacious with amazing views - our husbands played golf - both of them really enjoyed it.
The downside was that we were not allowed to use the Gym which is members only - I understand why but even if it could be used by guests at off peak limited times it would be good.
The food was excellent - service and friendliness was again excellent - we will definately be going and treating ourselves again - would like to go every couple of months
Not a very good experience at all of this hotel and spa. Didn't get off to a great start, when booking we were told that the hotel would call back in 10 minutes however didn't receive so had to call them back the next day. Upon arrival the receptionist was rude and unhelpful, felt she spoke down to us and it was left to a beauty therapist to give us a tour and explanation of the hotels facilities. Both my girlfriend and I had massages, mine was significantly better than hers, so quality does depend on the therapist. Swimming pool, sauna and steam facilities looked good but swimming pool really irritated my eyes making for an incredibly uncomfortable and unbearable evening. A staff member even commented that it was a regular occurrence. On a positive note the food was great and head waiter was very good. Personally we wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend to others.
Perfect hotel for the golfer and golf widow! Huge bedroom with balcony overlooking the golf course. The spa facilities were great and I loved the ladies only section. Therapist was very professional and the facial was amazing. Staff were all very helpful and food in the restaurant was excellent. Only criticism would be the dining room decor is slightly dated but everything else was perfect and excellent value!
The Spa facilities and health club at this hotel are second to none. Spacious and very clean and relaxing. The treatments are superb as are the staff that carry them out. The hotel that the Health club and Spa are attached to is very friendly with good food at reasonable prices, everywhere is a little tired, including the bedrooms but I believe they are going to be 'made over' soon which will bring them up to scratch. On the whole a thoroughly enjoyable 24 hours. The men enjoyed the golf course and its facilities to. The only other thing that would make it perfect would be for the dressing gowns to be ready on arrival rather than at check in which is not until 3pm.
There was a mix up when I arrived as they did not have me booked in but the receptionist kindly upgraded my room as a gesture of goodwill which was appreciated
Some of the staff in the evening were quite snobbish and not very friendly but the day staff were very nice
Pedicure was supposed to be for 25 minutes, it lasted just over 10 and there was no hard skin treatments, only nails painted and polished, but dissapointing
