Booking the treatment via Wahanda was very easy and the location is just a few steps from Caledonian tube station. The venue is simple and functional. I was welcomed by Dr Ali and taken to a massage room downstairs. I really appreciated that the room was well heated as I often feel cold during massages. He did a quick consultation and then started the body rejuvenation therapy which includes a full body massage, a facial massage and a head massage - an ideal combination. In typical ayurvedic style it involves a lot of oil and you should not plan on going out afterwards because your hair will be oily. The massage was excellent albeit rather strong. Also be prepared to be massaged by a male therapist. I can only recommend this place if you are looking for an ayurvedic massage.
Dr Alex made me feel comfortable with having a male masseuse. The room was nice and had a good ambiance. I didn't know what to expect as I'd never had a champissage massage before. Although my body was manipulated well it wasn't as relaxing as I was expecting though I would definately look into other types massages that are offered by Dr Alex.
This was my first massage with a male therapist (Body Rejuvenation Therapy) and was very good overall. I would have felt completely relaxed if the massage itself (areas covered) had been discussed during the brief consultation that took place beforehand (full body massages vary in my experience) so I knew what to expect. Also, the completing of forms should perhaps be left to the reception area prior to the treatment. Many thanks to Dr Alex - would recommend.
A good, relaxing experience. The therapist referred to yoga for my tension and advised that usually elderly people would come for this sort of treatment
