Lovely service and happy with my lashes, I was so relaxed I fell asleep.
Very nice massage. Friendly staff and very accommodating. A pleasant experience.
This was without a doubt the worst facial I have ever had. I chose to go to London Ladies because the facials had been given all-round excellent reviews, and I was delighted to see that Farah would be treating me as she had been praised in the reviews. I was greeted warmly by Farah when I arrived at the salon, and was looking forward to a relaxing facial. I was taken to the treatment room and everything was set up for me, but while this was happening another customer had arrived early. There was some commotion outside my treatment room and another member of staff came to continue my facial while Farah went to attend the other customer. The new member of staff I had proceeded to apply products to my face using so much extra water that it was running into my mouth, and started rubbing my face at super speed. Furthermore, her hand motions appeared to be completely random and unsymmetrical, unlike facials I have had before - not at all pleasant. It felt like this member of staff had no training whatsoever. After my treatment I had lots of blocked pores and my skin felt oily and greasy which was irritating as I had paid for a 'deep cleanse' facial. I would not recommend having a facial here and I am extremely disappointed with my treatment.
The salon had allotted me a 2hr30min time slot for my treatments with only one beauty therapist available. Within the time, two other clients turned up who were see during my scheduled time which made for a strange atmosphere as either they or I were left waiting as the main beautician moved between us. The mani/pedi was allotted 2 hrs. This would imply a full treatment including a massage. Both treatments were complete within an hour, and whilst the colour was done well, given I had paid for 2hrtreatment, I would expect a2hr service including a massage. The eyelash extension, I had asked for a natural short length. They had none available and kept asking me to spend more money to get individual lashes. I explained I didn't want these but was happy to be refunded and go without. At this stage they offered to cut them smaller which removed the curve from the lashes. Moreover, they cut one set off my lashes and the others after they'd already been glued to my own eyelashes. She then (without asking my permission) got her trainee to put on the other set which (in her own admission) she had only ever applied to her sister. However, I didn't say anything as I respect that everyone starts somewhere but I would not expect to pay professional prices for an unsupervised trainee. Moreover, when they lashes were completely different on each eye, the main beautician proceeded to simply pull them off my eyes without using any form of remover the ease off the glue. At this stage, I again said I was happy to leave the treatment but they insisted that they try individual lashes. She applied the lashes in a hurry as a further client came in, causing glue to get into my eyes which continually streamed and repeatedly gluing my eyelids together and opening them with a sharp implement pointed towards my eye. She also spiller glue onto my forehead in haste which she then scraped off leaving me with a small open wound on my forehead. Whilst the effect was unfinished, I was so keen to leave that I made my excuses, and quickly left the salon while she was preoccupued with yet another client. The misleading prices with reference to time slots, poor time management and hurried treatments made this an extremely unpleasant experience. The beautician herself was lovely and clearly very talented but trying to stretch herself too thin has made this appealing value for money and a poor experience all round. I will not be recommending this place again unless they were to hire further beauticians and improve their commitment to treatment times. You pay for a treatment, not a service. An hour long manicure should take an hour. It shouldn't be rushed through in order to fit in as many clients as possible.
Cosy place with nice staff; amazing value for money!
