I used a GroupOn voucher for my visit, I obviously didn't read it correctly as Cut and Blow Dry were not included and I was charged another £30. Rather than wash my hair it was sprayed slightly with water and then I had the strangest of cuts (my hair was virtually dry) the hairdresser picked up chucks of my hair and chopped lumps off, the actual cut took around 10 minutes and that's quick for my hair as its shoulder length and extremely thick. The colour was good, but checked when I got home and I still have a few grey hairs that were not coloured. Before I left the saloon I did check the cut and it looked ok (not the best I have had), but on closer inspection when I got home, it seemed a bit hacked about. The hairdresser kept going on about me coming back and the discount she would give me, which actually worked out cheaper than what I had already paid - I certainly would not visit again with or without a GroupOn voucher.
Great massage with a professional therapist. The salon is nice and clean place with friendly staff and great treatments on offer. I loved my massage and will be coming back.
I came in here this past weekend (May 2015) with the hope of freshening up my hair as I hadn't been to the hairdresser in ages. I have long thick hair in very good condition. I was told if I came in they would give me a great deal and was quoted a very reasonable price.
When I turned up they didn't even seem to know I was coming and actually had to call the manager to come in. They also had no knowledge of the deal I was quoted and tried to tell me it was going to be more. I said that I wasn't prepared to pay more and was happy just to do the cut instead but they guaranteed me they would make me happy and it was ok.
While waiting for the manager a junior staff member started to cut my hair. She kept asking me every 5 minutes if it was ok to cut although I had already explained what I wanted (which was a layered cut and ombre) but she did not seem at all confident and the salon itself didn’t even seem to understand what am ombre colour was.
I was starting to lose confidence but thought I would give them a chance as I’m not the professional however I soon came to realise I probably could have done a better job myself.
The cut was the first bad aspect. What was supposed to be a nicely layered style around the front turned into a staggered choppy cut that was looked clearly hacked at. When I questioned them they said it was because I parted my hair to the side so had too much hair. I hardly think its my fault and I have never had an issue with hairdressers being able to layer my hair in the past. I have long straight hair, its not that hard. They tried to fix it but it just got worse. I actually had to ask them to stop cutting.
The colour was also not a nice blended gradual ombre but clearly a dip dye where a line between the darker and light colour could clearly be seen as a straight line. But even the darker colour on the top of my hair was patchy where they had clearly missed parts of my hair and when lifting my hair up underneath there are also bits where no lighter colour can be seen.
While the staff members were nice and friendly they really did not do a good job. The cut, the colour and everything about the experience was horrible. Most people that have seen my hair since are shocked I even paid for it. Im not usually one to write reviews but honestly my hair looks terrible and now I’m stuck with it for ages until it grows out enough or until I have enough money to go to a decent quality, reputable place to get it fixed.
