great experience. They were running a bit late (understandable, I had the last appointment of the day and the customer before me was very exacting about what they wanted!) but being handed a glass of prosecco and a magazine made up for that :) Jordan cut my hair really well and although was running late there was absolutely no sense of being rushed or anything. Would completely recommend!
Like a Carry on Film. I had an almost comedy experience at this salon. I had specifically booked the first appointment of the day as I was driving out to the country and wanted to get on the road early so was really annoyed when my appointment was 15 mins late. On top of this once I sat down for my highlights the stylist then had to go and rip the foils - which took another 10 mins. Surely this should already have been done. I was then not offered anything to drink so eventually asked for my own coffee 30mins later when one of the other stylist offered a drink to her client. This poor stylist had a broken ankle so I had to go in to kitchen and collect the coffee for myself not her fault at all but you would have thought that the other staff or even my own stylist would have helped her. The salon was only half finished and the toilet full with builder and cleaning equipment. I hadn't booked a blow dry which seemed to really confused my stylist even though this is a service they offer. I was then told whilst having my highlights washed off that i was going to be put under the heater for my hair to dry - you know the ones they put you under to add heat to your highlights? now let me tell you at this point I have a lot of incredibly thick hair - I said she'd have to come and collect me tomorrow as this is how long it would take for my hair to dry under this. When I was taken back to the chair i was given a 2 min blow dry and then asked if i was happy with my colour - sorry my hair was still absolutely dripping so I have no idea. By this point my stylist had already left her other client waiting for about 1/2 hour so I told her I'd blow dry my own hair. So there i was in the salon in front of all the other clients blowing drying my own hair so I could check the colour. I was then taken pitty/ she felt embarrassed by the lovely stylist with the broken ankle who offered to finish off my hair so I didn't have to walk out looking like a crazy person - her words not mine. After this I then went to pay when my stylist tried to charge me an extra £5 for running the bleach through the ends of my hair!!! Now I have had my fair share highlights at salons all over the country and I have never in my life been charged for this. After an argument it was agreed I wouldn't have to pay the £5 extra - I paid my bill and left - angry, ripped off and humiliated after one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had. I would NOT recommend.
A friend recommended Love Hair to me and I have now also passed on that recommendation to another. This was my first time getting my hair done since moving to London and am pleased to say my fears have been put to rest. Hair feels healthy once again finally and Im happy to show it off. :)
