At this salon, Jack gave me one of those cuts you have about every 5 years when it’s so good that it ends up being not just a haircut (actually, the wash/cut/blowdry ended up being a re-style) but it transforms you mentally too because your new do makes you feel so much fresher, brighter and de-stressed! Generally I don’t enjoy the hairdressers but this was different because the outcome wasn't something I'd really thought of before. All the other positive comments gave me the confidence to let Jack do whatever he felt most appropriate, based on the few things I explained I wanted – something hassle free, easier to manage/style and with dead ends removed (from a previous dipdye job) . I’m really happy with the result and I liked the salon a lot too – large gold mirrors, exposed polished concrete contrasted with antique gold and a laid back vibe. It’s minutes walk from Brixton tube and overground too, so very convenient. I have already recommended to friends and family.
I had a bit of a rocky start with this appointment - it was moved twice to later in the afternoon which initially meant I went in feeling a bit annoyed. However, I soon realised that this was because they care so much about making each appointment excellent. When I arrived I was offered a glass of Prosecco (which was lovely!) and I didn't have to wait long until my appointment started. Jane was very apologetic about the later time of the appointment, and it's obvious she really cares about each person and making sure their haircut suits them. She gave me lots of advice on how my hair should be cut, especially since i'm a 'wash and go' sort of person and don't spent time styling it - something no other salon has ever asked. She took her time making sure my haircut was done thoroughly and styled it beautifully at the end! I was exceedingly happy with the service, the haircut was fantastic and I will definitely be going back. I have only not given 5* for the overall satisfaction due to the timing changes beforehand, but in all other respects it was a great experience. Would highly recommend!
