Great overall experience - staff are friendly and accommodating, service and facilities are great. The salon itself is calm and clean with a lovely contemporary feel. I was very pleased with my highlights and cut so will definitely be returning to this salon.
I think the hairdresser was quite good and knowledgeble, the only problem was he did not really listen to me and did not explain what he will be doing well to me, so i ended up with something different than what expected + i had to pay another £39 for whatever extra he did (not sure what it was)! My friends liked my new hair style, saying it was really fashionable, but i didn't like it at all, i just wanted my 'ordinary' highlights. I went back after a few days and i have been seen by the owner, who was really nice and tried to make my happy about my hair again, but i still didn't have my highlights as this owuld be too damaging to my freshly-done hair. Al in all, after 2 visits I ended up with one colour only - very nice, i must say! - dried and tired of overcolouring hair, 5h spent on the chair plus 3h traveling and £94 (£55 voucher, £39 misterious addition, I won't mention train tickets) less in my pocket.
Nice salon and very friendly staff but the Brazilian blowdry treatment wasn't very good. I understand they've had to change the formulation because of the nasty chemicals in straighteners which make them work so well. Unfortunately it just didn't do that much to my hair- within a month it was getting frizzy again. I also got a trim and the stylist just cut straight across my hair even though I have thick hair that clearly needs layering. I suspect there wasn't enough time for a proper haircut.
I had a full set of semi permanent eyelash extensions which unfortunately looked very unnatural and spidery and were very uncomfortable to wear. I ended up pulling most of them off, which resulted in an unwanted loss of my own lashes just weeks before my wedding. In addition, the salon's own price list has the treatment listed at 50% of the price I paid for my Wahanda voucher too so either something does not tie up or this was definitely not a good deal.
The went to the Luca Salon for waxing treatment and thought the overall experience was spot on. The therapy room was clean and the therapist was very professional. I would go back there if they ran more deals!
