The venue was nice and easy to find and the staff were nice and friendly. The salon was tidy and the ambience was alright but there was a lot of loud talking between the members of staff which could be heard right through to the back at the treatment rooms where I was having the eyelash extensons put on. The therapist was a lovely lady and was really polite, my only complaint would be that I wasn't overly impressed with the lashes compared to other places that i'd had them done before. They were very blatantly extensions whereas in other places they looked and felt much more natural.
Eyebrow and Eyelash Treatments
This was pretty much the experience that I paid for- adequate without any wow-factor. I really just needed a basic haircut- a reshaping of layers that were over two months old- without paying a lot of money, and this experience fit the bill.
I am almost certain my stylist was not of the 'top' classification promised, but she did a nice job on a fairly simple haircut. She was fast, but did a nice, thorough job on the blowdry (sometimes not easy with huge hair like mine!). She was pleasant and friendly, although sometimes I had trouble understanding her and was not totally convinced she could understand my instructions sometimes. Because of this, I would have been worried and frustrated if I went in for a more complicated procedure. While working on me she was discreetly giving cutting instruction to her colleague who seemed much more junior... would definitely not trust her to cut my hair!
The salon itself was nothing very elegant or alluring, but it was modern and clean. Overall, the experience was worth it for what I rquired and was willing to pay. I would definitely not return at the full price, but I was pleased with the voucher and the outcome.
Ladies' Haircuts
i HATE TO GIVE A PLACE A BAD REVIEW BUT I HAD THE WORSE HAIR CUT FOR A VERY LONG TIME.. THE PERSON WHO WASH MY HAIR PLAY AROUND WITH IT FOR A FEW MINS MY HAIR STILL FELT DIRTY AFTER HE FINSHED. IF THE CUT WAS JUST O.K I WOULD LIVE WITH IT. BUT IT WAS SO BAD I'M NOW WAITING FOR IT TO GROW BACK SO SOMEONE CAN DO SOMETHING WITH IT... I WOULD GO BACK TO SHOW THEM BUT WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT I WOULD NOT LET THEM NEAR MY HAIR AGAIN....
I am so angry. I never bother writing reviews but I am this angry about my haircut here. It was over a month ago, I am a singer and I had a show that night. The hairdresser put me in the sink to wash my hair and after a minute of washing my hair, got into a phone argument with a co worker for around 10 minutes leaving me in the sink. when she got back she was really angry and took it out on my scalp. then when she cut my hair she just lobbed it off like she was gardening a hedge. I've had good hair cuts and bad haircuts and what i think you shouldn't do is just grab a clump of hair and cut straight across. this she did with my fringe and layers. I was really stupid not to get up and leave at this point but for some reason i gave her the benefit of the doubt and stayed for her to finish completely mutilating my hair. she did short layers, that go from my ears all across the back, by grabbing a huge ponytail of my hair and cutting straight across. my hair is thick so it means that this layer just sits in a step at my ear level. I tried not to think about it and get too upset but now, over a month later I am making a music video and there is absolutely nothing that I can do about this stupid step layer in my hair. I would love compensation for the damage this person did to my hair, but that is doubtful so all I will do is warn others that they seem to employ highly incompetent hairdressers that will potentially ruin your hair for half a year!!! don't go here!
What I really liked about Lily is the way she did my highlights. I hate leaving a salon with roots because the hairdresser did not brush the product as close to the root as possible. This was not the case with Lily! The cut was also great!
