The therapist was fantastic, very friendly and the massage itself was lovely and relaxing. The only drawback is the noise from the hairdryers and clients in the hair salon.
My Swedish massage at Luca was a great experience, I felt completely relaxed when I was having my treatment, I was really impressed with how quick the accommodated my appointment request so last minute (literally booked 30 mins before) which is really hard to do with salons these days. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the music played added to the relaxing experience.
Very thorough job from a lovely beautician. My only complaint would be that the room felt quite small and stuffy, and the waxing pots looked like they needed a good clean!! not sure I'd pay the full price of £33 but for the £20 deal it was very good value!!
I had a Hollywood wax and would rate it 5 stars. Fastest appointment I've been too and really good wax. Only fault a little awkward atmosphere.
The lady was very pleasant and the surroundings were fine. But the quality and sad to say, the training just weren't evident. The first issue was technique - rough nail filing both ways with the board, snipping the side of my nail (which slightly drew blood) is never a hallmark of quality. As for the application of the varnish, it was slapdash and pretty lazy. To be a decent manicurist you really need attention to detail and either this was lost in training or commitment to the job but I'd happily pay double for a job properly done. The sides of my nails are not painted evenly (thin and patchy) and the top coat was not applied evenly either. I commented a couple of times she had missed bits but could see her quietly getting irritated so I stopped pointing out poor work. A shame as I said, she was a lovely lady. Would never go back. I do wonder if salons generating custom through Wahanda are doing so as they don't create enough of a 'pull' from their own work. I got everything you'd expect from a £17 shellac; patchy colourist and a sore finger. The savings don't work for me. Charlotte
