The place was clean, staff was friendly. However, when I asked to have my hair thinned a little, I was half expecting her to use a "thinning scissors" but instead she twisted my hair into bunches and cut it I was afraid this would lead to split ends but I think it is fine.
It was not the most proficient blow-dry I've ever had!it was not clarified that wash was not included in the price so I had to pay extra!I had my hair straight but id did not last for long.I would not go again I am afraid.Also...CASH only, not clarified before!

This was my second time visiting Luxe. As before, welcomed kindly and offered a beverage. They review the booking to ensure you are getting exactly what you wanted and understand what's included within your package. Ewa is very good at her job, efficient and thorough. Always has great pointers to share in regards to hair care and products. Will definitely be coming back, so happy it's just down the street from my office!
She was great at threading. Made it as pain free as possible. I'm such a wimp when I get them done.
I arrived late, which was not a good start, but had called before to advise them and also apologised when I got there. I asked to use the loo, and the owner replied "hurry up, we have other customers coming," She and my stylist then had a conversation in Farsi in front of me, which continued, and I thought that was pretty rude considering I don't speak Farsi and they didn't translate and tell me what they were speaking about. My stylist washed my hair and then performed a very quick hair cut, leaving some split ends and not even making the layers in back looked joined up. The blow dry was fast and mediocre and the stylist used a dirty brush on my hair, pulling long grey hairs out of the brush before using the brush on my clean hair. I told her I didn't really like the haircut and her reply was "I cut it just the way you asked me to," not even bothering to ask how she might make it better. My stylist made no attempt at conversation beyond asking "how do you want your hair cut," and telling me she was speaking Farsi, when I asked which language was being spoken. I'd been served a glass of water and when I looked at the bottom of the glass there was white debris floating in it -- a dirty glass. The owner was really overbearing and kept coming over and making comments, which I could tell was putting my stylist under pressure. The next customer never showed up, the salon was not crowded. The lighting in the salon was stark and showed every wrinkle and imperfection, not really what a customer wants during a haircut. There was a general atmosphere of depression hanging over the salon and the owner was a smoker and went outside for a fag with a friend -- they then came back and smelled out the place with cigarette odour. It really was bad that the owner sat chatting to her friend, yet showed no kindness to me beyond offering a glass of water -- really not nice or wise business practice. This was a really poor experience, probably the worst I have had with Treatwell or Wahanda.
