Lydia has been cutting my hair for the past four years. I have recommended her to many friends as she always does a great cut - she is very consistent - and is really pleasant to chat to and good value for money. She knows what she is doing, is very experienced and knows how to make my fine, floppy hair look its best (which is not easy). Her blowdries are fabulous - she always makes my hair look really pretty and full of volume and, in the past, I've had several colour treatments which have looked really good. She listens to what you want and considers what would work best for your hair type and face shape. We also always have v interesting chats. All in all, she is a great hairdresser. The best I have come across.
I first went to Lydia after a do-it-myself colour job had gone horribly wrong - and I mean horribly! As she has done every time since, (the latest being a few days ago), she put me at my ease, knew exactly what to do and the new colour (using a wonderful balayage technique that she is fantastic at) looks wonderful. Lydia doing my hair means being complimented on it afterwards by others, As well as being an exceptionally talented hairdresser and colourist, Lydia is a woman with a lovely presence. Going to have my hair done with her is both a treat and a pleasure. I swear she makes me look ten years younger! I can not recommend her highly enough.
I trust Lydia to cut my (bushy, wayward) hair beautifully, saving me from some kind of trimmed hedge or mop head look which I've had elsewhere. She gives great advice and doesn't try and twist my arm into things I don't really want. I enjoy her friendly and intelligent company too, plus she gave me some good holiday advice this time!
Some people find going to the hairdressers scarily hair-raising (excuse the pun), as they’re not sure what they’re going to walk away with (quite literally) and if it will be what they want. Lydia thoroughly enquires, clarifies and really listens to what you want doing, more so than any other hairdresser I’ve come across. So, no worries on that front. Lydia also happens to be a jolly good, highly educated and skilled hairdresser, who can do whatever it might happen to be. So, no worries on that front either. I’ve had a few hair-cuts with her and even asked her to do what she wanted most recently and was equally pleased. Always a delight to see and have a chat with too. Highly recommended.
First time I have used Lydia and it's one of the best haircuts I've had.
Will be recommending her to all my friends.
