the salon was very quiet, and the temperature a bit cold (glad I was having a manicure and not a massage!) - but it was a Monday afternoon, and the discounts seem to be structured so as to be available during less busy times.
The therapist had plenty of time to give me an excellent manicure - aside from one tiny chip, it's still looking good two and a half weeks later.
Therapist was running late but nobody told me or offered me a drink etc whilst I waited. When I did go through the therapist was quite rude and you could tell she was in a rush. They seemed to have me booked in for a different treatment that wouldn't have taken as long. All in all quite uncomfortable and I definitely would not return or recommend.
Hairdresser Alana did my updo and makeup. I wasn't pleased with results at all. I showed her pictures, described the style and when the updo was done, it looked nothing like I described. The updo would look O.K. on a 60+ year old woman but not on me 30+ young woman. It was awful. I asked her to do something about it so eventually she made it a little bit better, but clearly didn't understand what was I complaining about. So I think that she has a very bad taste.
Afterwords she did my makeup. She put so much makeup that my face looked like a mask. It was so cakey that my partner laughed at me, he said that Alana probably shoveled makeup at my face with a spade. So I just removed this ton of makeup.
I wouldn't recommend this young stylist Alana to anyone. She's done a very bad job.
