I have been to Pride Hair and Beauty twice now for a cut and blowdry with Rebekah. The first time I went I had £10 off my treatment through Wahanda and afterwards I signed up online to their own 'VIP' section which again gave me another £10 off my second treatment. The salon is lovely as is my stylist, Rebekah. The reason I returned to the salon was because of how much attention to detail she displayed when cutting my hair. I have a straight fringe and it is rare for me to return to the same salon as I usually do not like the way other hairdressers cut it! Overall lovely salon, good value for money and not too far a walk from princess street so easily accessible!
Positive points: convenient location to city centre, polish was good quality CND 7 day polish and was well applied.
Negative points: the nail station was dirty, the therapist did not change the tissue from the previous client and it was smeared with red nail polish - I waited for her to change it and a few minutes into my treatment I had to ask for it to be changed. The nail tools were not evidently steralised in barbicide (or other) which majorly concerned me and I really should have declined treatment or asked for sterilised tools. What disgusted me even more was the cuttings of the previous client's nails laying around the nail station. The therapists clothing didn't look clean and she did not sanitise may hands and nails before the treatment, I asked for a hand sanitiser at the end of the treatment. The treatment technique was poor, a standard manicure should include the basics of a cuticle soak, thorough cuticle maintenance with the correct tools and a hand massage or application of hand moisturiser at minimum.
