I had a blow dry and it was good. I have a very thick and long hair and it takes a long time to straighten, but I was surprised that the stylist used a ghd straightener at the end.
The technician was ready immediately when I arrived. Though there wasn't a huge selection of colours, the ones they did have were all quite nice and I still had trouble deciding. The manicure was well done, and the technician was willing to do additional coats to ensure coverage, which isn't always a given. Minimal cuticle work was done, though I had had my nails done quite recently and we both agreed that they didn't need much. There were no massage or scrub elements, and their amount of equipment was far from overwhelming, but at £10 I wasn't expecting these things, and their absence did not detract from the experience.
As for the result, there was no flooding, no air bubbles, and no unevenness. It has held up very well with no chipping.
The technician (Jasmine) was very friendly and nice to talk to. She offered colour advice when I asked for it but was not pushy, and did not try to talk me into extras like nail art, though she mentioned during my manicure that they offer it. These employees may have just been certified for gel nails, but they are as skilled as most technicians I have seen at businesses that have offered gel nails for years.
Even when the price goes up, I will be back!
