What a lovely place! It feels more like someone's front room with lovely pictures and interesting books. None of that mindless natter. And if you do want to keep quiet, you'll find the best magazine rack in town! O and my blow-dry was pretty awesome too - no skimping on the Argan oil ;-)
This was the third time I had my eyelashes and eyebrows tinted at Hair Joy and as with the previous two times, I was very happy with the experience and outcome.
My haircut and massage were the best I've had. I left feeling absolutely amazing. It's a very relaxing and comfortable place. Highly recommend.
The aesthetician was very friendly and professional, and a joy to talk with.
The waxing treatment did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. It was rough and more painful than any other Brazilian wax treatments I've had before (I have been getting them regularly for years). She also missed several thick hairs that I noticed after showering off all the excess wax that had left me sticky after the treatment, and she didn't wax all the way to the back as one usually does in a Brazilian wax.
That said, the whole thing was over within twenty minutes as promised and I felt very welcome and clean throughout my time there.
Hair Joy is a great studio. The waxing was fast, the staff did their best to make me feel comfortable and to male the experience painless. I will for sure return.
