Daniela was just AMAZING! She is a real expert and knows exactly what she is doing having styled runway models before. She takes her time to advise you about what suits you best and "wants to make you look good and happy" - her words. I had full head highlights, cut and blow dry and everything was done accurately within 2.5 hours! I will definitely go there again!
I had my second haircut at Massimo Giglio last night - both experiences have been excellent, I can't recommend Massimo and Daniella enough. I have long and quite unruly hair so have had some terrible haircuts in the past, but I feel confident returning to Massimo Giglio and welcome their advice and suggestions about haircare.
Well, I will start to say that Daniela, the person who took care of my hair, is a real star; therefore, if you are not put off by my review ask for her!Her consultation was spot on, the highlights are of high quality and so it is the trim she did to my hair. Why then am I giving one star and I will never go back to the salon? Unfortunately, the whole pleasant experience was spoilt by the arrogance and the extreme rudeness of the owner of the salon. On Wahanda I paid for a full head highlights and a cut; during the consultation Daniela suggested to do the colour of the roots and to apply another treatment to revive the highlights that I already had. She told me that It would be included in the price because She had just to do few highlights ( we did not define the exact number). At the end the owner of the small salon started a coversation with Daniela in front of me saying that she had to charge me and that he could not afford me getting the extra treatment on the Wahanda price- all this coversation was in front of me, he did not even have the courtesy of talking to his collegue aside- therefore I had to pay £45 +£15 more than the £95 I already paid. When I pointed out that it was not £10 or £20 and that I should have known in advance, he said that the same treatment in the area where I live would have costed me £300! How embarassing and mortifying it was! So to cut the conversation short I took out my credit card.. and no, he did not have the card machine... cash he wanted, so I had to go to the ATM to withdraw the money. When I went back with the money I said I did not want to negotiate, but If I were him I would have handled it in a different way and I would have asked at least for half of the extra money, he said why? "I actually expected a £10 tip...." Good hair, but horrible manners and lack of professionalismfor having the full telling off of the collegue in front of me.. Never again, unfortunately, shame real shame because Daniela is a really good hairdresser.
Daniela was excellent - she advised me on some styles that would flatter my face, and then took the time to make sure I was happy with the results - I am! This is the best highlights/style/cut I've had in London and I'll definitely be back.
